MORE... WILD CUPCAKES


Currently on a short visit back to Chicago I had to check in with my cupcake girls at MORE.  Their creative juices continue to be flowing and I waaaay over indulged in sampling the latest and greatest.  The Chocolate Easter Egg was at the top, it had the moistest chocolate cake with a cream filling and buttercream frosting sprayed with ganache chocolate.... oh so decadent! Then there was Foie Gras with tart cherry, Lemon Poppyseed, Almond Flourless, Passionfruit Meringue, Bacon Brittle, Chocolate Chocolate, Carrot Ginger and thennnnn.... comatose!  

So then after an hour break, it's off to dinner at Paul Kahan's Publican Restaurant, yes folks a place devoted to pork and beer.  Let's see, would that work in Hawaii? No brainer huh. Fabulous exotic beers from around the world, the best chicharrones I've ever had in my life, glazed pork belly, fried smelt with deep fried cured lemons (oh so ono!), fresh pork sausage, tenderloin and shoulder.  They had to roll me out of there without mind you, dessert, at least that had been taken care of early on.

So for all you folks with a sweet tooth, this substantiates the saying, when in doubt, eat dessert first!
